Valentine's Tea Party

The girls and I have been wanting to start a tradition over the last couple years of a tea party and this year we were finally able to do it! They invited their cousin Aleyna, and some family friends that live down the street. The girls loved dressing up and drinking tea (punch) like English ladies. I think they like pouring the teapot as much as drinking it. We also had some lady like/Valentine snacks.

I found teacups and saucers from thrift stores and then the girls got to use them as party favors when it was time to go home!

Afterwards, we had a photo shoot. Let me tell you, these girls loved to ham it up. They got into my box of props and picked out accessories, while I took their pictures one by one.

From the mom stand point, it was such an easy party and I loved gabbing it up with Katie

while the girls played. We're definitely doing this again next year! I figure we only have a year or two left until Keira starts to think this sort of thing is lame, and I'm taking advantage while I can!

Medieval Times

In February, Brian and I wanted to take the kids somewhere fun and we eventually decided on Medieval Times (Disneyland lost). We've never taken the kids there before and we thought that they might really enjoy it. We never guessed just how much! It was worth every penny!

they were captivated by the horns and the King and his Royal Court

Cool knight stuff

I can't even tell you how much "Ohhh!- ing and "Awww!"-ing they did!

Beautiful Horses

We were on the Green Knight's side

I don't know if it was the food (it was delicious), the atmosphere or the whole eating with your hands, but my kids actually ATE DINNER without a WORD of objection! I'm considering having them eat in the dark more often.

Sadie and Violet both caught a carnation when they were thrown into the crowd

Later, Keira was named, "Queen of the Tournament"! I can not believe the luck our girls had that night! I've been there a half dozen times in my life and I've never even come close!

Preschool

Violet and Sadie started school the day after Labor day at Mrs. Roger's Neighborhood Preschool! They absolutely LOVE school and I LOVE having 3 hours, two days a week with only one kiddo!! Woo-hoo! Their teacher is a member of the ward and so our all of their classmates. It's really nice to know they're in such a nice environment to learn. It's a really great class and the girls love their curriculum They visited a dairy just this week on their first class field trip and had a blast. I can't believe I forgot my camera, but oh well. The fresh chocolate milk and cookies at the end of the trip was our favorite part!!
I think my little girls are the cutest little girls on the planet, but these are not the best pictures of them. I have to be in 3 different places within 10 minutes so we were running (literally) to school. I had no time to deal with Sadie's camera issues and Violet's need to pose with a scrunchy, cheesy smile.

First day of preschool!!! Yay!
