Well, Brian and I have decided to come out with our big news! There's a Bone Marrow Transplant program at the University of Minnesota that was FDA approved in November. They've opened the program up to include
Junctional EB kids 25 and under. We've been working with them and it now seems that
Daylon is being considered a
candidate for the transplant! We found out last Friday that Caleb is his IDENTICAL match!!! So far things look really good and we're so excited to have some hope for our sweet little boy! We have a consult in Minnesota on the 25
th so we'll keep you all posted!
Jennifer! That's so exciting! Let us know how it goes!
ReplyDeleteps. Happy Birthday tomorrow!
That is wonderful news! You must be so excited. Keep us posted.
ReplyDeleteThat is great news! I think about you guys often, and I'm glad to hear this.
ReplyDeleteI am so happy for you guys! I will pray extra hard for you tomorrow. Let us know as soon as you find anything out! I am so happy there is a ray of hope for your baby! And Caleb being an identical match is a miracle.
ReplyDeleteHow did I not know you started a blog? I am ashamed, as your sister-in-law I should be paying more attention to these things! I blame the constant distraction of your adorable children as my excuse. :P Love ya!
ReplyDeleteJennifer, I've met you once when my family came to your parents house for game night. My parents are Geoff and Linda Arnold. I believe you were pregnant with Daylon at the time. Joe was staying with us here in Utah for the weekend and I asked about you and he told me all about Daylon. I'm doing my best to help spread the word. Please let me know if there is anything else I can do. Our prayers are with you.
ReplyDeleteWe are so happy for you. (We miss you and your family so much.)
ReplyDeleteFirst off, I had no idea you two got married. So congrats (A few years late). I had heard when Jennifer had her first baby (though I didn't know Brian was the dad) the same time I had my first, but hadn't heard anything about you since. And now you have FIVE! You guys rock! My three wear me out. Kudos to you. I'm always a little jealous of people who can handle a houseful. That's what I want but I'm not sure if I'm cut out for it.
ReplyDeleteI heard about your son a couple weeks ago. I have been quite affected by it. You are all consistently in my prayers. I think of you often. I do know that it is through our greatest trials that we can find out greatest blessings.
I will continue to pray and look forward to updates.
